亚琛分院院长、教授，毕业于莫斯科音乐学院。1982年起，以独奏家的身份在莫斯科交响乐团工作长达10年之久，曾同众多著名歌唱家、独奏家共同演出,足迹踏遍全球，同时任教于莫斯科音乐学院。1992年，伊莱亚·歇普斯移居德国,任教于罗斯托克音乐学院、多特蒙德音乐学院等著名音乐院校。2003年,作为钢琴和室内乐教授任教于科隆音乐学院，并且常年在世界各国举办国际大师班。在自已的专业领域,伊莱亚·歇普斯也已经与 Melodia(美国)、 Le Chant Du Monde(法目)、 Deutsche Welle- classe(德国)等著名唱片公司合作出版了数十张唱片、西德日报曾对他做出如下评价:“一方面,他不仅有年轻时李赫特的爆发力，同时还拥有吉利尔斯一样特有的张力……敏感，有控制力的内心可以让弱达到极点……”。除外,德国男中音歌唱家费舍尔·迪斯考也对他的评价很高:“……他在教学方面的丰富经验，使他成为非常杰出的钢琴导师。因为他资深的背景:一所培养了许多伟大钢琴家的学院。如果能得到他的帮助，每所音乐学院都应为之庆幸!"近几年来，歇普斯教授多次受邀来中国各大音乐学院教学，受到国內专业人士的高度赞扬，并连续两届担任“中国深圳国际钢琴协奏曲比赛”评委，并与周广仁、克莱涅夫、陈宏宽、但昭义等教授共同开设大师班。
Ilja Scheps is a renowned russian pianist, composer and music critic in Germany, Deputy Dean in Hochschule fuer musik koeln, dean and professor of piano in abteilung aachen. He completed his studies at the moscow Conservatory under prof. Lev vlasenko and prof, Evgenij Schenderowitch.From 1982 to 1992 Mr. Scheps was a soloist of the moscow philharmonic Society. He participated in concerts with orchestras, presented solo recitals, and appeared as an accompanist of renowned singers and instrumentalists there. This resulted in his large repertoire, including works by Bach Mozart, Beethoven. Chopin, debussy, Scriabin, prokofiev and tchaikovsky, as well as those by schnittke, silvestrov and denisov. At the same time, Mr Scheps taught at the moscow conservatory. since 1992 Mr. Scheps has lived in Germany. Besides being an acclaimed soloist, he is an enthusiastic pedagogue. he has taught at the Rostock University and the darmstadt music academy for many yearsStudents of mr. Scheps are winners of important international piano competitions and exclusive artists of "Sony" and "Universal" Records. Mr. scheps also conducts workshops and master classes at the international music academies and as an invited professor in many universities. He is the artistic director of Paderewski International piano academy in bydgoszcz (poland)- the unique masterclasses for pianists playing piano concertos with a sy mphony orchestraMr. Scheps is a jury member of international piano competitions and a chairman of "Prix Amadeo" International Piano Competition in Germany. He has recorded more than 10 Cds with "MCA (USA),"Le Chant du monde" (France),"Melodia(Russia),"Coriolan/Teldec, " Deutsche welle",ECM-Records"(Germany).
